Don’t forget folks if you can; keep them root-balls from getting totally sodden and freezing. The ‘meringue’ effect, when the soil comes up like said meringue is a result of harsh freezing on a sodden rootball that still has air gaps. (Or so my local ‘orticulteral’ expert tells me!
